With over 46 years of experience in the financial services industry, Philip Gallant has built a reputation as one of the most trusted and knowledgeable professionals in the areas of retirement income planning, estate planning, and long-term care strategies. As the founder and owner of The Optimus Group and Optimus Wealth Management Group, Inc., Phil has dedicated his career to helping families and individuals create financial security, protect their assets, and achieve lasting peace of mind.
Phil’s career began in 1980, marking the start of a lifelong mission to serve others through education and strategic financial guidance. Early in his career, he became Group Vice President and National Marketing Director for New York Life Insurance Company, and later served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of New York Long-Term Care Brokers, Ltd. During this time, Phil was instrumental in expanding national awareness of long-term care planning and product innovation across the industry.
While holding these executive roles, Phil developed a personal passion for working directly with families. His deep understanding of complex planning strategies and his desire to make a difference inspired him to establish The Optimus Group in 2006, specializing in retirement income planning, estate planning, and long-term care planning. In 2009, he expanded his vision by forming Optimus Wealth Management Group, Inc. to help clients manage and grow their retirement portfolios with confidence and independence. Since then, his firms have successfully guided hundreds of families toward stronger, more secure financial futures.
A recognized authority in the long-term care planning field, Phil spent more than 20 years heavily focused on educating both clients and professionals about how to protect against the financial impact of long-term care costs. His expertise has made him a sought-after speaker and thought leader, having presented at major industry symposiums and organizations such as The National Association of Health Underwriters, The New York State Bar Association, The Elder Law Forum, The Brookings Institute on Aging, and The Society of Financial Services Professionals.
Phil’s voice extends beyond the podium as a published author in several respected industry publications, including Broker World Magazine, Life Insurance Selling, and Life and Health Advisor Magazine. His articles continue to shape the way financial professionals approach long-term care and holistic planning today.
A Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Phil is also an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA)—both nationally and locally—as well as The Capital District Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, The National Ethics Bureau, and The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. His commitment to ethics, education, and excellence in service is reflected in his Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC), earned through the Corporation for Long-Term Care.
As a seasoned industry executive and trusted financial advisor, Philip Gallant blends professional insight with genuine care for his clients. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: every client deserves a plan that brings clarity, protection, and confidence for the future.
Phil and his wife, Michelle, reside in Clifton Park, New York, where they enjoy spending time with their five children and two grandchildren. Beyond his work, Phil continues to advocate for financial literacy and responsible planning—helping ensure that families across generations can navigate the challenges of retirement, healthcare, and legacy planning with peace of mind.
